Lucknow: The third and final day of the 5th National Moot Court Competition, organized by the Faculty of Law, University of Lucknow, concluded with great fervour, featuring the Semi-Finals, Finals, and Valedictory Ceremony, all held as per schedule.
The competition saw participation from 29 teams representing various states across the country. After rigorous evaluation during the two phases of the preliminary rounds, 8 teams advanced to the Quarter-Finals.
The Semi-Finals witnessed fierce advocacy, narrowing the competition to two outstanding teams:
Christ University, Bangalore (TC 12) and Narvadeshwar Law College, University of Lucknow (TC 18).
Final Results
• Winner Team: Christ University, Bangalore (TC 12) comprising Ms. Akanksha Malick, Parvathi Harikumar, Sana Yadav. They received cash prize: ₹15,000, certificate of winners and a Trophy. The runner-up team was from Narvadeshwar Law College of University of Lucknow (TC 18) comprising Sandeep Tiwari, Shikha Upadhyay, Ishika Mishra. They received cash prize ₹10,000, certificate of runner up and a Trophy

• Best Researcher: Ashish Nayan, Uttaranchal University, TC-01C
• Best Memorial: Vardhan Singh, Shashwat Dubey, and Amaan Hussain Rizvi, Aligarh Muslim University, TC-07
The final round was adjudicated by a distinguished panel of judges: Hon’ble Mr. Justice Subhash Vidyarthi, High Court of Judicature at Allahabad, Lucknow Bench

The Valedictory Ceremony began with a warm welcome address by Dr. Radheshyam Prasad, Chairperson of the Organizing Committee, followed by an insightful address by Prof. Dr. Banshi Dhar Singh, Head and Dean, Faculty of Law, University of Lucknow. He emphasized the essence and significance of participation, highlighting how events like these enrich the journey of budding lawyers.
Prof. (Dr.) Harish Chandra, the Guest of Honour, shared that pleading from both sides equip participants with confidence that translates seamlessly into real-world court practice.
The Chief Guest, Justice Subhash Vidyarthi, expressed nostalgia, calling his visit to Lucknow University a homecoming. He urged the participants to develop their skills under the guidance of a good senior advocate highlighting the importance of mentorship in shaping a successful legal career.
The ceremony concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks delivered by Srijan Pandey, Student Convenor, who expressed gratitude to the participants, judges, faculty, and members and volunteers of Lucknow University Moot Court Association for their invaluable contributions to the success of the competition.
The 5th National Moot Court Competition, organized under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Banshi Dhar Singh, marked another milestone in fostering the spirit of advocacy and legal excellence among budding lawyers.
